What is guttering?
Guttering (or gutters) is a rainwater collection system that sits around the roof or foundation of a building. It's designed to channel water from the roof away from the property, preventing damage to basements and crawlspaces and erosion to the foundations. Usually, it's made from uPVC; however, other forms include cast iron, concrete, aluminium, steel, and copper. Styles include ogee, square, deep flow and round guttering in a range of colours including black and anthracite grey.
From uPVC to concrete/finlock gutter replacements, we're the industry experts with the knowledge and experience to safely and affordably protect your property. We support homeowners, businesses, and government offices with our roofing-related services. Got a question? Let us know or request a free, no-obligation inspection and a full written estimate. Guttering repair
Guttering undergoes a lot of wear and tear over the course of a year. Not only does it deal with gallons and gallons of rainwater, but the buildup of leaves and other matter can stress the brackets and hangers. That's without mentioning potential animal damage.
To save you a costly replacement, we offer guttering repair and maintenance services to restore your guttering to normal function. We always start a project with a full inspection, determining the extent of the damage. We then provide you with our findings and recommendations as part of the free written estimate.
The Fascia Company will inspect your property for free without any obligations. It's part of our friendly service supporting local homeowners and businesses.
Concrete finlock gutter replacement
We install and replace Finlock (concrete) guttering where durability and structural integrity are of high importance. Concrete guttering needs replacing as it can cause a lot of damage. The porous nature of concrete causes water ingress, thermal bridging leads to cold spots and condensation, cracking and spalling. Repairs can be complex and there is also a risk of sagging guttering.
To install concrete guttering, first we’ll cut back the existing concrete guttering to the brick line. Then our team will either extend the rafters or install a timber board to the brickwork. Next we’ll install new uPVC fascias, soffits and guttering. We offer a choice of either re-felting the first row of felt and battens, or installing an eaves tray protection system. This will ensure water drains into the new gutter system.
